Pocket Pitties by CharlieDog and Friends are a group of plush stuffed animals based on real Pit Bulls from the shelter system. Each Pocket Pittie is lovingly inspected and dressed with a unique Adopt collar bracelet, a unique accessory that you can remove and wear yourself as a bracelet. The bracelets are made of 100% cotton Michael Miller fabric and are embroidered with the word Adopt. Wear one, and youll quickly find yourself in a conversation with a stranger about the pets youve both adopted and the lives youve saved. Included with your purchase is a postcard of the real-life dog, and his/her story, and a Facebook card for Bruised Not Broken (who welcomes your friendship). All Pocket Pitties are 7 inches when seated, and 9 inches from the top of their head to the bottom of their toes. They are made of super-soft velour, with embroidered features and no plastic parts. Theyre machine washable, but you may want to simply spot clean them. Theyre weighted with little beans, but theyre not baggy. All plush toy Pocket Pitties also come with our Adopt collar bracelet, 15% of each Pocket Pittie sold is donated to Bruised Not Broken, as it continues to save death row pups while advocating for this most misunderstood family pet. Beautiful Adala is based on a mystery. Back in July, 2011, this dog was in danger, posted on the Facebook pages of Bruised Not Broken and Urgent Part Two two sites that advocate daily for at-risk pit bulls and other homeless pets in the New York City shelter system. She had hours to live as she faced the worst of all fates a fate all too common for shelter pit bulls and as her smiling picture could attest, she had no idea. But someone somewhere rescued her, her picture was moved lovingly into the Safe! folders of these two Facebook pages, and the world moved on. And thats where her story at least on this site ends. If you know Adala, or know where she is, or what lucky family calls her their own, please let us know by sending us an email or posting on our page. Wed be THRILLED! Until then, shes an honored Pocket Pittie plush stuffed animal from CharlieDog and Friends, and like so many Bruised Not Broken alumni, shes out there, somewhere. Safe.
